Shimla, June 4 -- : Shimla police in Himachal Pradesh, intensifying its crackdown on narcotics trafficking, arrested three persons in two separate cases involving the seizure of 804 grams of charas and the unearthing of financial links in a heroin supply network.

In the first case, a team of Sunni police station recovered 804 grams of charas from two scooter-borne youths during a naka checking operation at Gharat Nala on the Sunni-Shimla road.

Police said the team was conducting routine checking as part of a special anti-drug campaign when a scooter travelling towards Shimla was intercepted. During the search, police recovered the contraband from the possession of the occupants.
