Dharamshala, Aug. 5 -- Police District Nurpur has intensified its crackdown against drug trafficking, registering two separate cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and arresting three persons with the recovery of 7.90 grams of heroin (chitta), police said on Tuesday.
In the first case, a team from Indora Police Station intercepted a suspicious scooter rider during a checkpoint in the Tanda area. During a search conducted as per legal procedures, police recovered seven grams of heroin from the scooter's storage compartment.
The accused was identified as Mukul Salgotra (18), a resident of Gudha Kalan village in Pathankot district of Punjab. He was arrested on the spot, and the scooter was seized. Further inv...
