Nurpur (Himachal Pradesh), Aug. 7 -- Nurpur Police have arrested three persons and seized 13.42 grams of heroin (chitta) in two separate anti-drug operations in Kangra district, police said on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police Ilma Afroze said that in the first operation, the CIA staff of Nurpur Police, acting on specific information, conducted a search at the residence of Tapeshwar Singh alias Sonu in Chak Nangliyan village of Indora tehsil on August 5.
During the search, police recovered 10.96 grams of heroin concealed inside a television speaker in a room of the house. A case (FIR No. 130/2026) was registered at Damtal Police Station under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, and the accused was arrested.
