Itanagar, July 11 -- The Siang District Police, in coordination with the West Siang Anti-Drug Squad (ADS), arrested three persons, including an Indian Reserve Battalion (IRBn) personnel, during a major anti-narcotics operation at Boleng in Siang district, a senior police officer said on Saturday.
The operation was conducted under the overall supervision of Siang Superintendent of Police JK Lego and the direct guidance of SDPO Y Yangi on Thursday night. The police team was led by Boleng Police Station Officer-in-Charge SI T Padung.
Acting on specific intelligence about the movement of suspected drug traffickers from Aalo to Boleng to collect contraband, the police set up strategic naka checking points and intercepted the suspects.
