Kolkata, May 18 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Monday said those who had attacked the police in south Kolkata's Park Circus area will be "taught a lesson" and urged the city top cop to take "strong action".

Speaking at a public meeting in his Assembly constituency, Bhabanipur, in south Kolkata, he warned that people who have vandalised the police outpost in Asansol of West Burdwan district will also be punished in accordance with legal provisions.

"We will teach all those who were attacking the police in Park Circus a lesson. We will realise 200 per cent of the damage from those people who vandalised the police outpost in Asansol," said Adhikari.
