Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 15 -- The expansion of Thiruvananthapuram International Airport received a major boost on Thursday with the laying of the foundation stone for its international terminal expansion under Project Anantha.
The project will increase the airport's international passenger-handling capacity from 3.5 million to around 11.5 million passengers per annum, marking a significant expansion of its infrastructure to meet future demand.
The expansion will also provide enhanced passenger facilities, strengthen operational infrastructure and support improved international connectivity, according to the airport.
