Aizawl, Sept. 1 -- The SELCO Foundation on Tuesday handed over 30 Electronic Vaccine Carriers (EVCs) to the Mizoram government for use in Mamit, Lawngtlai and Lunglei districts.
The equipment was formally handed over to Health Minister Lalrinpuii at her office chamber at MINECO.
Speaking on the occasion, Lalrinpuii said the SELCO Foundation had already installed solar power systems at 530 health centres across the state and established a 10-MT walk-in cooler in Aizawl.
She welcomed the latest initiative, saying the 30 EVCs would further strengthen vaccine delivery, particularly in areas without Health and Wellness Centres and Sub-Centres.
