Burdwan, July 14 -- Miscreants broke into the historic Sarbamangala temple here in West Bengal's East Burdwan district and looted donation boxes from the sanctum early on Tuesday, police said.

CCTV footage shows two masked men, aged around 40, entering the gate at around 2 am. They broke the main gate lock and tried to force the sanctum shutter. Failing that, they cut the chains, dragged the boxes to the garden, and fled with cash on a motorcycle parked outside.
