Solan, April 14 -- The management of Tethys Fossil Museum & International Geoheritage Center marked its 4th Foundation Day (2026) by bringing together scientists, policymakers, academicians, and local stakeholders to advance a shared vision of positioning Kasauli as a Geoheritage and Geotourism destination.
Sukh Ram was conferred the "Tethys Geoheritage Award 2026" for preserving traditional gharat geoheritage in Kasauli Tehsil against all odds.
Founded by Dr. Ritesh Arya, the museum houses over 500 fossil specimens and presents a continuous record of Earth's evolution. The event, themed "Geoheritage Today, Geotourism Tomorrow," focused on linking geological heritage with sustainable rural tourism.
