New Delhi, April 17 -- Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on Friday sharply criticised the government in the Lok Sabha, terming the proposed delimitation exercise "political demonetisation" and voiced concerns over the Centre linking the implementation of women's reservation to the expansion of Parliament and constituency redrawing based on the census.
Tharoor questioned the "haste" with which the government has combined the two measures, arguing that women's reservation is "ready for harvest" and can be implemented immediately based on the existing parliamentary strength.
