Mumbai, July 27 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) spokesperson Prakash Mahajan on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Thackeray family, alleging that both heirs of late party founder Bal Thackeray were now forced to make controversial statements merely to retain their political relevance.
"Unfortunately, this is the fate of Maharashtra. The Thackerays were once regarded as the people who shaped the state. But today, for their political survival, both heirs of Balasaheb Thackeray have to call a cockroach an incarnation of Lord Vishnu," Mahajan quipped.
