Mumbai, July 25 -- Thane City Police have arrested Bijendra Gupta, alleged to be a key figure behind the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) question paper leak case, from Bihar after he reportedly remained on the run for several weeks, officials of Bhiwandi police confirmed on Saturday.
The accused was arrested in Bihar, and after seeking a transit remand the team of Thane police is bringing the accused to Bhiwandi for investigation, officials added.
Gupta, a former coaching institute teacher, was allegedly operating under a false identity while evading arrest, police officials said.
