Srinagar, Aug. 25 -- Security forces on Tuesday foiled an alleged terror plot with the arrest of two terrorist associates and the recovery of a pistol, 12 rounds of ammunition and a hand grenade from Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, Police said on Tuesday.
The joint operation involving Pulwama Police, Army's 44 Rashtriya Rifles and 183 Battalion CRPF was launched at Yarwan forest area of Rajpora, following specific intelligence inputs about suspected terror activities in the area.
During a Cordon and Search Operation in the Yarwan forests near CB Nath, security forces noticed two men emerging from the forest towards the village in a suspicious manner. The alert teams swiftly moved in and apprehended them.
