Chennai, March 28 -- Capacity expansion-both brownfield and greenfield-expanding research and development (R&D), and acquisitions are on the agenda for Tenneco Clean Air India Ltd, a major manufacturer of clean air systems and automotive shock absorbers and struts, said the top company official.

The company is part of the US-based USD 17 billion Tenneco group.

Tenneco Clean Air is setting up an emission control system plant in Haryana at an outlay of Rs. 71 crore, said Arvind Chandrasekharan, Wholetime Director and Chief Executive Officer.

The plant is expected to go on stream during the third quarter of 2027.
