Patna, April 15 -- Newly sworn-in Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary has allocated portfolios among his cabinet colleagues.

The Chief Minister has retained 29 departments with himself, while 18 departments have been distributed between the two Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Choudhary and Bijendra Yadav.

The distribution of departments among the Chief Minister and both Deputy Chief Ministers is currently temporary.

It is being said that a full cabinet expansion may take in a few days.

Until then, Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Choudhary, and Bijendra Yadav will jointly manage the administration.

Of the 29 departments retained by CM Samrat, most were earlier held by ministers from the BJP quota in the previous Nitish Kumar government.
