Shillong, July 15 -- The Khasi Students union (KSU), Shillong Mihngi Circle, one of the prominent and influential pressure groups in Meghalaya, on Tuesday locked an under-construction temple, located inside the premises of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) office in Mawdiangdiang.
The temple was kept under lock and key after CBI officials failed to give a firm assurance regarding the one-week deadline given to the premier investigation agency to demolish the structure.
A KSU delegation led by its Assistant Organising Secretary Jeremiah Pohthmi met Deputy Inspector General of CBI, Shillong, and demanded immediate stoppage of any construction activity related to the proposed temple inside the CBI premises, citing the Supreme Court p...
