Hyderabad, June 8 -- Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday directed Transport Department officials to intensify enforcement drives across the state and take strict action against vehicles violating transport regulations.

Speaking at a review meeting at the Secretariat, the Minister instructed officials to conduct large-scale inspections targeting overloaded vehicles, vehicles with unpaid quarterly taxes and those operating without valid fitness certificates.

He said violating vehicles should be seized if necessary.
