Hyderabad, Sept. 18 -- Telangana will get two lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G), with the first instalment from the Centre for their construction already handed over to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, union Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said on Friday.

Addressing the Southern Regional Agriculture Conference here, Chouhan said construction of the two lakh houses would now begin.

He said beneficiaries living in kutcha houses who have been identified through the survey would also be covered in subsequent phases.

The Centre would continue to extend full support to Telangana across sectors, Chouhan added.
