Hyderabad, Oct. 10 -- The Telangana government is according priority to sports development, with plans to create world-class infrastructure and strengthen athlete training facilities, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said on Saturday.
Addressing the closing ceremony of the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) tournament at the golf course near Golconda Fort here, he said the government was taking steps to develop athletes on the South Korean model and establish Telangana as a major sporting hub.
Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also attended the event.
Bhatti said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had announced plans to construct a world-class sports stadium in Hyderabad.
