Hyderabad, May 27 -- Telangana Agriculture and Marketing Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday announced that Rs 1,173 crore would be credited to the bank accounts of nearly one lakh maize farmers within the next two to three days.
The Minister said the State Government has created a record in maize procurement by already procuring 1.4 million metric tonnes of maize across Telangana.
He stated that, in an unprecedented move, maize is being transported not only to warehouses within the state but also to storage facilities in neighbouring states to ensure smooth procurement operations.
