Hyderabad, April 16 -- Telangana Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Sports, Vakiti Srihari, has termed the Telangana government's decision to place caste census details in the public domain as historic, stating that it reinforces transparency and social justice.
Addressing the media at the Secretariat on Wednesday evening, the Minister said it was "ludicrous" for certain political parties-who had confined their stance on caste census to mere rhetoric for decades-to now criticise the initiative. He alleged that such criticism stems from fear that the release of authentic data would expose their political falsehoods.
