Hyderabad, June 19 -- The Telangana Junior Basketball League (TJBL), a first-of-its-kind professional basketball league dedicated to nurturing young talent, kicked off here on Friday.
Telangana Special Chief Secretary for Metropolitan Area and Urban Development Jayesh Ranjan inaugurated the league at the K.V.R. Indoor Stadium in Yousufguda.
The tournament will continue till June 28, with matches scheduled daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Telangana Basketball Association (TBA) President Sridhar Reddy, General Secretary A. Prudhvishwar Reddy, Treasurer N. Chandrashekhar, Chairman Masood Bin Ahmad Zakir and other officials.
