Hyderabad, Oct. 23 -- Telangana DGP C V Anand highlighted the State's innovative policing initiatives to tackle narcotics, cybercrime, terrorism and women's safety at the Southern Regional Police Coordination Committee (SRPCC) meeting held at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Banjara Hills, on Friday.
He said specialised forces such as Greyhounds and the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) had played a crucial role in combating Left-Wing Extremism, while OCTOPUS was established to tackle terrorism. The EAGLE anti-narcotics force, launched in 2023 with dedicated manpower and infrastructure, had achieved significant results in drug control.
