Hyderabad, Sept. 1 -- The Telangana government on Tuesday received relief from the High Court as a division bench headed by the Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh vacated the stay earlier imposed by a single judge on the implementation of the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.

The State government had approached the division bench challenging the single judge's order staying the schemes. During the hearing, the Advocate General, appearing for the government, submitted that the stay was causing hardship to poor and economically disadvantaged families benefiting from the welfare schemes.
