Hyderabad, June 2 -- The Telangana High Court has dismissed a House Motion petition filed by the Telangana Jana Sena Party seeking permission to hold a public meeting in Hyderabad on the occasion of Telangana State Formation Day.

After the police denied permission for the meeting, the Jana Sena Party approached the High Court challenging the decision.

The party had recently applied to the Cyberabad police seeking approval to organise the meeting. However, the police reportedly rejected the request citing certain reasons.

When the matter came up before the High Court, the registry rejected the petition, stating that the issue did not warrant consideration under a House Motion petition and lacked the urgency required for such a hearing.
