Hyderabad, April 8 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday unveiled the statue of late Dr Moturi Satyanarayana, the founder of the Central Institute of Hindi, and described him as a visionary freedom fighter who dedicated his life to national integration and the promotion of Hindi in South India.

Speaking after paying tributes to Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Satyanarayana and releasing his biography along with the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan quarterly magazine 'Samnvaya Dakshini' at a programme held at the Central Institute of Hindi in Bapuji Nagar, Bowenpally, Secunderabad, the Governor said Dr Satyanarayana viewed language as a powerful instrument for unity and nation-building.
