Hyderabad, June 12 -- Telangana Minister for Public Enterprises and Minorities Welfare Mohammed Azharuddin on Friday said the state government would extend all necessary support to ensure the peaceful, safe and successful conduct of Muharram, which will be held on June 16.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the State Secretariat, the Minister directed officials to complete all arrangements well in advance and work in close coordination for the smooth conduct of Muharram observances, including the historic Bibi-ka-Alam procession.
He instructed departments to ensure adequate sanitation, drinking water, street lighting, medical services, transportation, security, traffic management and uninterrupted power supply.
