Hyderabad, March 18 -- Telangana Health, Medical & Family Welfare Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Wednesday informed the Legislative Assembly that the government is taking comprehensive steps to strengthen healthcare infrastructure across the state by upgrading equipment, increasing manpower, and establishing trauma care facilities.
Replying to questions during the Question Hour, the Minister said that high-end medical equipment is being made available in district hospitals, including 1.5 Tesla MRI machines in major institutions such as Gandhi, MGM, and other key hospitals. Across the state, 29 CT scan units, 1,770 ventilators, and 195 dialysis machines are currently operational.
