Hyderabad, June 16 -- Telangana Labour and Mines Minister G Vivek Venkataswamy on Tuesday announced that the state government will constitute a special committee for the establishment of a dedicated Hamali Welfare Board to safeguard the interests and welfare of hamali workers across the state.
The Minister said the proposed committee would comprise government officials, representatives of hamali associations, trade union leaders and experts. It would examine issues related to worker welfare, minimum wages, identity cards, insurance coverage and social security before finalising the structure of the welfare board.
