Hyderabad, June 29 -- Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu on Monday said the state has set an ambitious target of building a USD 1 trillion economy by 2034 and a Rs 3 trillion economy by 2047, while aiming to double its contribution to the national GDP from the current five per cent to 10 per cent.
In an interview with a national English daily, the Minister said the government was integrating emerging technologies into governance, industry and grassroots economic activities to achieve the target. He highlighted the role of 65 lakh women in Self-Help Groups (SHGs), who received loans worth Rs 21,000 crore this year with near-zero NPAs.
