Hyderabad, May 12 -- Telangana Health Minister Damodar Raja Narasimha on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 1,919 Nursing Officers recruited into the Health Department during a programme held at the Osmania Medical College grounds in Koti.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion of International Nurses Day, the Minister congratulated the newly appointed Nursing Officers and described nursing as a noble profession dedicated to the service of humanity. He said nurses played a vital role not only in treatment but also in giving confidence and hope to patients.
