Hyderabad, June 24 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday said every student is like a sapling that can grow into a mighty tree when nurtured with education, discipline, values and proper guidance.
Addressing a free notebook distribution programme organised by Bharat Sevashram Sangh (BSS) at Lok Bhavan Community Hall here, the Governor said the future of students is closely linked to that of the nation and urged them to excel in their chosen fields and bring pride to their families and the country.
Drawing a parallel between a sapling and a student, Shukla recalled planting a sapling at the Lok Bhavan Government School earlier in the day.
