Hyderabad, Oct. 3 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Saturday called upon the paper industry to adopt modern technology, recycling and eco-friendly production practices to balance economic growth with environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

Addressing the 65th Annual General Meeting and Conference-2026 of the Federation of Paper Traders Association of India, hosted by the Telangana Paper Merchants Association at Novotel HICC here, the Governor said paper continued to remain important in education, publishing, printing and packaging despite the changing technological landscape.
