Hyderabad, June 14 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday described blood donation as the highest form of service to humanity and stressed that there can be no greater act of compassion than saving a human life through blood donation.
Speaking after inaugurating a voluntary blood donation camp organised by the Telangana State Branch of the Indian Red Cross Society at Sanskriti Community Hall in Lok Bhavan on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Governor said that blood donation was not merely a medical intervention but a symbol of compassion, humanity, and social responsibility.
"Every drop of donated blood offers hope, courage, and a chance of survival to patients in need," he said.
