Hyderabad, Aug. 4 -- Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and First Lady Janaki Shukla on Tuesday participated in the Bonalu celebrations at Lok Bhavan.
The Governor offered Bonam and silk vastrams to the presiding Goddess and performed special prayers for the health, prosperity, peace and well-being of the people of Telangana.
The celebrations were held in keeping with the State's rich cultural and spiritual traditions and witnessed the participation of Lok Bhavan officials, employees and their family members.
The programme featured devotional folk songs in praise of the Goddess by traditional artistes, while the energetic performances of Pothurajus were a major attraction.
