Hyderabad, May 15 -- Acting on the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Government has constituted a special committee to identify individuals who participated in the Telangana statehood movement and recognise their services and sacrifices.

The General Administration Department issued G.O. Rt. No. 679 on Friday, formalising the constitution of the committee. The government stated that the decision was taken in response to long-standing demands seeking official recognition for Telangana movement activists, many of whom had faced imprisonment, injuries, and hardships during the agitation.
