Hyderabad, June 2 -- Telangana Formation Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and grandeur across the state on Tuesday.
The main official ceremony was held at the Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, where Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy unfurled the National Flag and reviewed the ceremonial parade.
Before proceeding to the Parade Grounds, the Chief Minister paid tributes to Telangana martyrs at the Martyrs' Memorial at Gun Park.
Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy recalled the decades-long struggle for statehood and expressed gratitude to former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and former UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Telangana.
