Warangal, Aug. 9 -- Telangana Director General of Police C V Anand on Sunday reviewed the policing and crime situation in Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts and directed officials to step up efforts against cybercrime, ganja smuggling, traffic violations and food adulteration.

The review was held as part of DGP's tour of the erstwhile Warangal region.

He also reviewed police welfare, infrastructure, women's safety, land disputes and measures to assist families affected by Left-Wing Extremism.

Anand said cybercrime was increasingly spreading to rural and semi-urban areas, with even educated and financially aware people falling victim to sophisticated online frauds.
