Hyderabad, May 7 -- Telangana Director General of Police C V Anand on Thursday called upon people to become partners in the fight against drugs to safeguard the future of children and youth in the state.

Reviewing the performance of the 'Eagle Force' - the state's specialised anti-narcotics unit - at its headquarters in Hyderabad, the DGP said the supply and consumption of narcotic substances continued to pose a major threat not only in Telangana but across the world. He said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had already directed police officials to completely eradicate the drug menace in the state.
