Hyderabad, July 31 -- Telangana Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju on Friday directed Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) to take measures to ensure that Metro Rail passengers travel safely, conveniently and comfortably.
Chairing the meeting of the HMRL Board of Directors for the first time as its Chairman at the Telangana Secretariat here, the Chief Secretary reviewed the progress of Metro Rail projects and suggested the introduction of a common mobility ticketing system across all public transport services, including Hyderabad Metro Rail and TGSRTC.
He instructed officials to hold discussions with TGSRTC for developing a common mobile application that would enable commuters to use a single ticket for multiple modes of public transport.
