Hyderabad, June 24 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday warned Congress leaders of strict action if they failed to actively participate in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign aimed at safeguarding genuine voters' rights.
Addressing party leaders through a Zoom meeting, the Chief Minister expressed concern over reports that some leaders were not taking the campaign seriously despite the possibility of genuine voters' names being deleted from electoral rolls.
Describing the issue as "very serious", Revanth Reddy said he had already received district-wise reports on SIR awareness programmes and would not remain a silent spectator if negligence by party leaders caused damage to the party.
