Hyderabad, June 13 -- The flight carrying Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to Hyderabad was diverted to Bengaluru on Friday night due to adverse weather conditions at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad.

Heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, lashed the Shamshabad area for nearly two hours. As a precautionary measure, airport authorities temporarily suspended flight landings owing to strong winds and poor weather conditions.

The Chief Minister, who had participated in various programmes in Delhi, boarded an IndiGo flight at 1830 hours and was scheduled to arrive at Shamshabad Airport at 2115 hours. However, due to inclement weather, the flight was diverted to Bengaluru.
