Hyderabad, May 22 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated the medical team of Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) for achieving the rare milestone of successfully performing 2,000 kidney transplants.

NIMS has created a notable national record in the field of kidney transplantation and currently ranks number one in South India in terms of kidney transplant procedures. Nationally, the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre (IKDRC) in Gujarat holds the top position, while Christian Medical College ranks second. NIMS has secured the third position at the national level.
