Hyderabad, May 11 -- Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has directed State Director General of Police (DGP) C V Anand to immediately initiate an inquiry into the case registered against Bandi Bhagirath Sai (25) at the Pet Basheerabad Police Station.
An official statement on Monday said that the Chief Minister questioned the DGP over the delay in action despite the complaint having been received on May 8.
DGP Anand briefed the Chief Minister on the details of the case and informed him that the police force had been extensively engaged in security arrangements during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Hyderabad.
