Hyderabad, Aug. 4 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed senior officials to ensure that the ongoing recruitment process for 7,437 police posts is conducted in a transparent, secure and foolproof manner.

The directions were issued at an emergency review meeting convened after intelligence agencies reportedly alerted the government about attempts by certain political parties and vested interests to disrupt the recruitment process.

The meeting was attended by Director General of Police (DGP) C.V. Anand, senior police officers and top government officials.
