Hyderabad, May 21 -- Telangana Chief Ministger A.Revanth Reddy on Thursday demanded that the Central government convene a special session of Parliament to enact 33 per cent reservation for women in legislative bodies.

Paying tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary, the Chief Minister said the INDIA Alliance was ready to support the women's reservation legislation in Parliament.

Revanth Reddy said women's reservation in legislative bodies should be implemented in the spirit of Rajiv Gandhi's vision for political empowerment of women through reservations in local bodies.
