Hyderabad, July 24 -- Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday evening directed officials to adopt stringent measures to curb drug abuse in the state and called for greater accountability of educational institutions in preventing drug-related activities on campuses.
During a review meeting on drug control, the Chief Minister suggested obtaining declarations from students and making managements responsible for incidents related to drug abuse occurring within educational premises.
He directed officials to examine framing rules to hold educational institution managements accountable and said institutions should be provided responsibility along with authority to prevent drug-related activities.
