Hyderabad, May 23 -- : The Telangana Cabinet on Saturday approved allocation of 14 acres of land for the proposed Group Centre for central paramilitary forces in Karimnagar district, moving the project closer to implementation.

The land allocation includes four acres at Veldi in Manakondur mandal, five acres at Rukmapur in Choppadandi mandal and another five acres at Ganneruvaram.

The proposed Group Centre is intended for central forces including the Assam Rifles, Border Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police and Central Reserve Police Force.
