Telangana Budget Session kicks off with Governor's joint address

Hyderabad, March 16 -- The Telangana Assembly Budget Session began here on Monday with the Governor's address to the joint sitting of both Houses.

Before delivering his address, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla unveiled the Telangana Thalli (Mother Telangana) statue on the Legislative Assembly premises.

Later, the Governor paid floral tributes to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr B.R. Ambedkar within the Assembly premises.

Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, along with several ministers and other dignitaries, were present on the occasion.
