Hyderabad, Sept. 3 -- Tension prevailed near the Telangana Secretariat on Thursday after BJP state president N Ramchander Rao and several party leaders were arrested while attempting to submit petitions signed by more than 8 lakh students seeking immediate clearance of the pending Rs 15,000 crore fee reimbursement dues.

Rao had written to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy three days ago seeking an appointment to submit the representations collected from students across Telangana. With no response from the Chief Minister, he led BJP workers in a march towards the Secretariat.
